Setting your device parameter


Configuration SET - is used to control the value of a specific parameter number available in your device. This advanced command is used to customize your device and allow it to react how you would like it to act in AutoPilot.


Configuration SET options


Parameter defines a custom internal setting of the connected device that is allowed to be customized.

Value defines the value setting of the parameter.

Size defines the size of the parameter setting, the larger this value, the larger the Value can be set to.


Steps


1. In AutoPilot server, select "DEVICES" in the top most menu.

2. Choose the Device that you want to configure in the list of Z-Wave devices.

3. In the device page top menu bar, select "Settings".

4. At the bottom left of the page, select "Hardware configuration".

5. Input the configuration settings you want to send to your Z-Wave Device. 


Parameter - (PARAMETER NUMBER)

Value - (YOUR DESIRED VALUE)

Size - (SIZE OF PARAMETER)


6. When all variables have been entered, select "Set".

7. If you were successful in sending the parameter setting correctly, a temporary green popup will state "Data successfully updated" at the top right corner of AutoPilot interface.

Checking your device parameter


Configuration GET - is used to update the value of a specified parameter number available in your device. This command is used to check if a value of a parameter was configured properly.

Parameter defines a custom internal setting of the connected device that is allowed to be customized.


Steps


1. In AutoPilot server, select "DEVICES" in the top most menu.

2. Choose the Device that you want to configure in the list of Z-Wave devices.

3. In the device page, select "Settings".

4. At the bottom of the Config page, select "Hardware configuration".

5. Input the configuration settings you want to send to your Z-Wave Device. 


Parameter = (PARAMETER NUMBER)


6. When all variables have been entered, select "Get".

7. If AutoPilot server was successful in updating the parameter setting, the parameter number and value should update in the table to the right.
