Heat control options


Expandable spaces sets the comfort temperature, saving temperature, and what sensor is displayed in the specific space.


Comfort temperature - Determines the comfort temperature that connected heating devices will try to match.

Saving temperature - This temperature is set if no other values are defined at a specified time.

Temperature Sensor for Element display - Utilizes that specific temperature sensor to determine when to heat or cool down.


Advanced settings provides additional settings to control AutoPilot heating control.


Automation Reset time - determines when heating control returns to its defined schedule after a specified time. This setting is set in hours.

Setting up heat control


This section will provide step by step instructions on how to setup AutoPilot heating control. These steps will require a connected device such as the Aeotec Radiator Thermostat to control a space temperature using AutoPilot heating controls.


Steps

  1. Select "AUTOPILOTS" in the topmost menu.
  2. Select "Heating control".
  3. Set your "Comfort temperature", this can be changed using the drop down menu next to it.
  4. Set your "Saving temperature", this can be changed using the drop down menu next to it.
  5. Select a device to be used as the measurement temperature sensor next to "Temperature sensor for Element display", this can be changed using the drop down menu next to it.
  6. Click and drag any schedule that is to be programmed. The "Comfort temperature" will be used as default in the selected areas within the schedule.

    Selected areas - shown as a blue color, this can be selected to manually change the aimed temperature. These can be deleted by pressing the "X" button.
    Non-selected areas - shown as a white background, uses the saving temperature to ensure that temperature does not drop below freezing.

  7. At the bottom left hand corner of heating control page, activate AutoPilot heating controls by selecting the toggle switch to "Active".
  8. Select "Save" to save AutoPilot heating control.


Copy and paste


A single space setting for AutoPilot heating controls can be copied over to other spaces to easily perform the same heat controls on other spaces. This function is also a time saver which you can adjust the settings after copy and pasting other space heat control settings.


Steps

  1. Expand a space in AutoPilot heating control that you wish to copy.
  2. Select "Copy" located under the schedule table.
  3. Now expand the space you want to copy the settings to.
  4. Next to "Copy" select the drop-down list, then select the copied space. All settings should instantly copy over.

Heating control widgets



When the heating plan is activated, a new widget is created, which allows you to change settings manually.


Frost protection - Set all thermostats to the minimum value.

E-Save - Sets the thermostat to the value defined in the heating plan under "Saving temperature"

Comfort - Sets the thermostat to the value defined in the heating plan under "Comfort temperature"

Time-driven - Activates the heating schedule.

Setting -  Allows you to set a different setting for each room.

Advanced settings


This section briefly goes over some of the available advanced settings in AutoPilot heating control.


Automation reset time


Define the time period after which the heating should return to the schedule after manual intervention. This period is defined in hours.


Enable or disable AutoPilot heating control


AutoPilot heating control can be enabled or disabled using the toggle button located at the bottom left hand corner of the page.
